Simply Wild

The untold animal stories that shaped our world.

Available on Spotify & Apple Podcast

What if animals shaped history more than we ever realized?

Simply Wild is my podcast about the untold animal stories that changed our world. From war elephants to man-eating tigers, each short episode reveals the wild side of history you didn't get in school.

Each episode is under 15 minutes. No fluff. No academic jargon. No "And then in 1453…" timelines that make you zone out.

Just strange, brutal, curious stories told fast, told right.

About the Show

I started Simply Wild because I kept stumbling across stories in my research that were too good to stay in a bibliography. Elephant generals. Cheetahs that vanished from Indian grasslands. A tiger that changed how an entire region lived.

I wanted to share them the way a good campfire story gets shared — with atmosphere, with detail, and with the feeling that the world is stranger and more beautiful than you thought.

Every episode takes weeks of research and days of production. I think you can hear it.

Different

Minecraft is played by hundreds of millions of people. But how biologically accurate are its creatures and ecosystems really?

I'm a wildlife researcher with a Master's in Biodiversity — and I decided to find out. Every video takes one Minecraft mob or biome and holds it up against real ecology, evolutionary biology, and natural history to figure out what Mojang got right, what they missed, and what the real animal is actually like.

Some answers are surprising. Most are weirder than the game.

Whether you prefer listening on a run or watching at your desk — there's a version of these stories for you.
